Thiagarajan B. Subramanian holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. He completed postdoctoral research at Bar-Ilan University, Israel, and North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA. He has over 25 years of industrial experience, primarily in the pharmaceutical sector. Dr. Subramanian’s expertise spans small-molecule medicinal chemistry, including hit identification, hit-to-lead development, and lead optimization. He also has extensive experience in chemical development and process chemistry, with a strong track record in scale-up synthesis and cGMP manufacturing. Over the course of his career, he has held scientific leadership roles at Pharmacore, SCYNEXIS, NIRvana Pharma, Inspire Pharmaceuticals, CGBio Pharma, and SmaBio Labs. He is a co-founder of BindusChem LLC. Dr. Subramanian is an inventor on five patents and patent applications and has authored 25 peer-reviewed research publications.
